This is a model of an Ansaldo A.1 Balilla (‘Hunter’). This was Italy's first fighter plane, made in 1918. The main body of the plane was constructed out of thin wooden panels and frame. The wings were made of a wooden frame and resin canvas.
Detailed Information
The high poly and low poly plane model was made in Maya and UV unwrapped. The textures were done in Photoshop based on images of the real plane. The whole model was then imported to Unreal 4 as seen in the images below.
The first set of images is the low poly model of the plane, the second set is of the high poly model.
